What you will be doing:
- Rolling out a data platform to customers and supporting the adaption of technical services
- Designing soltuions of complete use-case pipelines (Data ingestion - Data procession - Software deploymen and Feedback loop)
- Understandin and explaining advantages and disadvantages of proposed solutions to stakeholders (internal/external)
- Building and maintanence of data driven applications
- Contribution to platform-stack-improvement and defining the final production environment
- Keeping up with technological trends (Big Data and Analitycs)
- Continously looking for improvement opportunities in terms of performance, reliabilty and automation
- Writing technical protocols, announcements and blog posts
What your technical profile looks like:
- Data Engineering:
- Competence in running big data workloads at scale in production
- Understanding the data engineering patterns (ingestion, transformation, storage, consuption, etc.)
- Deep knowlegde of event-based systems like Kafka and Confluent Kafka
- Knowledge of Databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Cloud storage experience (Azure Blob and Azure Data Lake Storage)
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques (Data Vault 2.0), virtualization (Denodo, Dremio, Tibco) and systems (Spark)
- Knowledge of data quality patterns and tools (DLQ patterns, informatica Axon
- Software Development:
- Proficency in one of the core programming languages (Phyton, Java, Scala, etc.)
- Knowledge of Software engineering (e.g. Microservices, Design Patterns etc.)
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools (GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins)
- General IT-Skills:
- Advanced knwoledge and experience with Linux
- Knowledge of cloud environment like Azure
- First experience with data science requirements, containerizing and distributing apps, requirenment engineering and IT architecture
- Networking skills like Firewalls, Proxies and NAT
- solid understainding of IT security and data protection in the cloud field
What your personal profile looks like:
- You graduated with a Bachelor (BSc), Master (MSc) or have an equivalent experience in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering)
- You have a hands-on mindset
- You take responability for your work
- You are a team player open to work in an agile environment
- You are result-orientated, have good communications skills (e.g. with colleagues from different departements and skill sets)
- You are Fluent in English (written and spoken)
